If cast selection was an issue, crew selection was a mountain to climb.

Professional crew are mainly freelance so would be likely to divert to paying projects at the last minute. And there was no budget.

Working on such a demanding production was way above the capabilities of untrained amateurs - however willing - so a novel approach was taken.

A film school was set up and a new volunteer crew trained.
Production of the movie went extremely smoothly with very few retakes and no pickup - almost unheard of in the film world.

Four key crew members stuck with OMF for further productions and have since worked on another five films - all award winning productions.
